Raising Concerns

We all have a responsibility to follow the
Code and speak up when something doesn’t feel right. Rethink supports whistleblowers and does not tolerate retaliation.

What's my role?

lf you’re ever unsure of what you should do in a situation, ask.

  • Don’t be afraid to raise concerns. Business is complex, and many of these issues are not simple. We’d rather know about a questionable situation early so we can stay ahead of it.
  • Encourage others to raise concerns if they have them.
  • Know that we will not tolerate retaliation — your job and career will not be harmed because you brought forward a report with honest intentions.
  • If you spot retaliation against anyone here or learn that it is taking place, we want you to report it.

After raising a concern, we will take steps to address the issue as quickly as possible — and we will do everything within the limits of the law to keep your concerns confidential.

Rethink It: Speak Up

Concerns about retaliation can stop people from speaking up. We view retaliation as a violation of our Code and our values. If you see it or learn about possible retaliation, let one of your Ethics Resources know as soon as possible. It is important to support one another if we raise concerns.

Managers have a special responsibility in this area. If you are a people manager, you are expected to support anyone who speaks up, to be on the lookout for retaliation, and to bring reports to the attention of Rethink’s Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer.
