Remember that part of creating a respectful environment depends upon creating positive and trusting relationships between employees and supervisors. If you manage employees, be sure to:
Model the behavior you expect from those you supervise
Be a good listener
Invite employees to come to you if they have concerns and make it clear that Rethink welcomes honest dialogue
Rethinkers...
Know and avoid behavior that someone may find insulting, hurtful, or exclusionary
Don’t treat others in a way that they could perceive as bullying or humiliating
Leave sexually explicit materials, jokes, or conversations out of the work environment
