Why Do We Have a Code?

We started as a small group of industry veterans who wanted to help the world’s great companies solve some pressing compliance communication challenges.

Our company has grown, but it's important that we continue to reflect this founding spirit. As ethics and compliance professionals, this includes a commitment to acting with integrity — both as individuals and as a business.

This Code provides practical guidelines for what integrity means in action, as well as guidance for situations you may encounter where the right choice isn’t always clear.
Look through the right lens.

Who Has to Follow the Code?

Everyone who works for or with Rethink must follow the Code, whether you are an employee or a contractor, and whether you are a senior manager or an entry-level employee. We also expect that our business partners will operate in accordance with similar principles.

What Happens if I do Something Prohibited by the Code?

First of all, we want to prevent that from happening. You should read the Code and understand how it applies to your work here. In your daily work, use good judgment and consult the Code for guidance when you need it.

If you have questions about what’s right, ask! You can talk to any of the following Ethics Resources:

  • your manager
  • any member of senior management
  • Rethink’s Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer

We understand that you may face tricky situations where the right answer is not clear.

You will never be penalized for asking for guidance, even if the delay leads to a poor business result.

Know that anyone who takes actions that are contrary to our Code will be disciplined, up to and including termination.

Rethink It: Following Our Code

Wondering if a decision is right or wrong?

  • Have I talked to one of my Ethics Resources to help me work through the issue?
  • Have I consulted the Code or other resources the company has provided me?
  • If I take the actions I'm considering, would I be proud of my decision?
  • Will my decision reflect positively on Rethink?
